Ask the Lord for rain in the spring season, the Lord who brings storm clouds, and heavy rains, who gives to everyone grain in the fields. – The Book of the Prophet Zechariah (10:1)
Christ is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!
Happy Easter!
Today, filled with rain and a good handful of administrative tasks completely got away from me… thus an evening post, and it’s still raining…
Rain, it’s the precipitation of water in above freezing conditions, that gives a most needed refreshment to the soil and environment for the nurturing of life. In Biblical terms it is first and foremost a blessing – as the words of the Prophet Zechariah and so many others attest – when it is withheld, a draught occurs, and many starve and suffer due to the absence of rain. Yet, rain is also the cause of floods and subsequent suffering. For us, in these strange days, a bit of Spring rain seems like its pouring down some hope that when we are able to enjoy the outdoors it will be refreshed and bountiful.
As always, no matter the circumstances… even in the rain … let us praise and give thanks to God for his many blessings and eternal love for us!
Christ is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!
